As a way to summarize the environmental performance by region, a weighted average was developed for Lake Ontario, the upper St. Lawrence River (between Lake Ontario and the Moses Saunders Dam), and the lower St. Lawrence River (downstream of the Moses Saunders Dam) based on the environmental ratios from the historical supply sequence. Values equal to 1 indicate performance comparable to Plan 1958DD. Values greater than 1 indicate improved performance relative to Plan 1958DD while values less than 1 indicate decreased performance relative to Plan 1958DD.
